Support
The
guardian recognises the evolving capacities of the child and supports the child
in exercising the own agency and developing personal competences, skills and
resources. The guardian’s support aims at enabling the child to participate in
a meaningful way in relevant decisions, services and procedures and
collaborating with state authorities and services providers, in accordance with
the rights and best interests of the child. The guardian’s support is
empowering and fosters the child’s sense of confidence and control of the own
situation in the hosting community.
