Safeguard
The guardian safeguards the child by
acting as an advocate for the rights of the child and ensuring respect for the
rights of the child by all relevant actors. Safeguarding children requires due
attention to the safety and wellbeing of the child and protecting the child
from all forms of violence, exploitation and neglect.
